About JC Tri

My Mission

I'm Jake, founder of JC Tri, former Royal Marines Commando turned British Triathlon Personal Coach and I want to help YOU realise, and achieve your FULL potential by bringing you the online triathlon coaching services you need.

I'm on my own journey as an athlete with IRONMAN Kona being the goal. I recently represented Team GB at the 2025 Age Group European and World Triathlon Championships and now feel the time is right to start passing on my knowledge gained through experience to triathletes wanting to level up in the sport. Having successfully worked up from Sprint & Olympic Distance events, to multiple Half and Full IRONMAN events it's safe to say I understand Triathlon and the dynamics as an athlete, and coach from the ground up. I'm already helping people like you on their triathlon journey and it's such a gratifying feeling to be part of their journey, and seeing them achieve what they set out to achieve.

One to one triathlon coaching is the best use of our time together because that time is all about you. These sessions are great for gaining insight into the technical side of triathlon, whether that be swim stroke or bicycle handling related elements through to run gait anomalies you may wish to correct. These sessions take place in person and are subject to availability.

The importance of Strength & Conditioning in Sports is widely overlooked. It's also widely misunderstood. Delivering a strength program that allows you to make significant gains as an endurance athlete can be tricky. Strength training should compliment everything you get out of triathlon coaching, NOT compromise it! These sessions can be conducted in person at the studio, or programmed into your Dynamic Coaching online triathlon coaching program.

Fitness Testing is important for online triathlon coaching. Without knowing where you're at it's impossible to determine which triathlon coaching services you may require.

The results from fitness testing are used to create and schedule training set at the correct intensity for your requirements. Fitness Tests feature in the Dynamic Coaching service regularly to ensure your Training Zones are always up to date.
